The use of zeolites as fillers in mixed matrix membranes (MMM) gas separation is a well-studied subject. difficulties to produce membrane with high selectivity and low defects the zeolite/polymer interface are well documented. Many researchers have reported that functionalization zeolite surface led higher compatibility via using silane groups, amine or ionic liquids particles improve permeability efficiency. This article aims describe, summarize discuss amines, silanes modifiers. Those modifications lead an increase polymer/filler by increasing dispersion polymeric matrix, which represents most recent subjects development MMMs. performance results surpass many times efficiency regular MMM synthesis. work focused specifically on MMMs silico-aluminophosphate SAPO-34 due its potential, diverging from general reviews, focusing specific case discussing works new ways develop this theme through deeper study. All possible compared, treatments proposed.
